After a brief hiatus, Gate Four returns with EP3 - a transitional, 4-tracker which showcases a series of tracks made in 2016 and 2017. It evidently sees a shift in the direction of Gate Four's production, in which it takes a more modern electronic approach in place of traditional songwriting.

Starting off with "Grayscale", a four-to-the-floor, kick driven track which borderlines into dub techno territory, "Scraps" then takes us on a journey where slow ambient pads progressively takes off with trademarked shoegaze guitars.

The second half steers into the minimal and introspective "Satellites", while "Canvas" wraps up the EP on a positive note, with sun-kissed pads drenched over shimmering melodic synths.
